Appeals are constantly made to the so-called sensible laboring men. But who is the sensible laboring man in the eyes of the extortionists? A fellow who lets his wife and children starve to death in order to please his boss; a coward who crawls timidly into a corner when men are needed; a ragamuffin who kisses the rod that struck him.
