THE ALARM.

Oct.25th, 1884.

ARMING.

The miners of Buchtel, Jacksonville and several other mining towns in Ohio, along the Hocking Valley, are organizing armed companies of sharp-shooters. They have tried strikes, petitions, resolutions, voting, etc. They now propose to test the merits of force. The necessity which has heretofore compelled them to submit to the employer's terms they now intend to get rid of by removing those who create that necessity. "Workingment of the world, unite. You have nothing to lose but your chains, you have a world to win."
