Man's pocket watch with gold engraved case. Engraved on back of works cover is "T. Flavin" in script. Watch has white face with black Roman numerals and secondhand dial with Arabic numerals. Engraved case has floral motif with initials "T. F." on front cover and floral motif with a house and a bridge crossing over a stream on the back cover.

Worn by Chicago Police officer Timothy Flavin, who died of wounds from the Haymarket Square Riot, May 4, 1886. Donated to the Chicago Historical Society by John E. Flavin, the great-grandson of Timothy Flavin (CHS 1968.399).
